O’s Notes: This is a sizzling funky sampler from Higher Octave. The songs are nicely mixed into each other. They’ve continuously improved their roster of artists over the years now including Acoustic Alchemy, Les Nubians, Tom Scott and Jimmy Sommers along with Four 80 East, Bryan Savage and 3rd Force. They also touch on the contemporary Latin side with Craig Chaquico and the harmonized vocals from Cooly’s Hot Box. Their “Dimelo Siempre” really pops as does Scott’s “Don’t You Wanna Jam”. We’ll keep this one in our CD changer for a while!
