O’s Notes: Bria has a sweet mellow tone that she works both with voice and trumpet! She has a lot of talent as a player, an entertainer, a writer and bandleader. Guest artist Michael Dease (tb) joins her on “Gymnopedie” and John Pizzarelli adds vocals and guitar on “I Wish I Hadn’t Forgotten”. The program is tilted toward New Orleans style jazz particularly on the title track and it feels like a memorable crescent city performance.
