O’s Notes: So Near, So Far is a collection of songs by various artists, a good compilation by composer and producer Doug McKeehan. We listened to this CD on an airplane after a lengthy delay. The music was soothing, peaceful and helped alleviate our stress. The music is all instrumental, electro-acoustic contemporary music that defies genre classifications. The entire album is a bit too energetic for yoga but several selections are ideal with cyclic patterns that set the stage for relaxation.
