O’s Notes: Sara spent seven years compiling the music for this CD, a dedication to the orphan children of Peru. It is a session that includes several contemporary styles. Sara sings “Fresh Out Of Tears” inspired by an Aaron Neville poem. He joins her to sing “Fly Away”. There is an R&B groove to “Leap Of Faith” and “Somehow Forever”. We enjoyed her cover of “Sara Smile” and the jazzy reprise of “Little Bird”, a duet with Christian McBride that punctuates the set. This is a collection that features Wasserman singing from her soul.
