O’s Notes: This collection of Gospel music is cut from a different hymnbook. Holy Mountain Music recasts common church songs into smooth jazz, R&B jazz that is very palatable for a broad audience. Any of these tunes would bode well on any NAC radio station. Guitarist Rick Bowlbey shines on many tunes and the strings are rich as well. Carmen Calhoun leads the sole vocal track “Oh Happy Day”. The arrangements are very good and we applaud the use of real drums. This is one sure way to attract people to fellowship.
