O’s Notes: Drummer Jay Lawrence assembles a fine team of musicians including bassist John Patitucci, Renee Rosnes (p), Romero Lubambo (g), Yotam Silberstein (g), Terell Stafford (t) and tenor saxophonist Harry Allen. It’s tough to miss with that much talent and Jay does a fine job corralling the troupes in varied configurations.“Sonic Paragon“is a swinging, feel-good album of contemporary, jazz-fusion with a lot of Caribbean spices. Lawrence composed and arranged most of the music and it will satisfy many listeners!
