O’s Notes: Keyboardist Jimmy Layton leads his vulnerable Not your Daddy’s Jazz Band for his latest release, Sonoma Beach. There are five songs in this brief 20-minute encounter. There’s a slice of boogie-woogie on “Son of Fatback Boogie” contrasting with the swanky, cool groove of “That Sunny Day” with walking bass and vibes before they conclude with the festive, Latin “Sex On The Beach”.
