O’s Notes: Guitarist Blake Aaron tees up a fresh smooth jazz album with Soul Stories, his latest release. He wrote eight of the ten selections and adds two sizzling covers: “Europa” and “Sara Smile”. Hussein Jiffy plays bass with Ricky Lawson and Winston Butts splitting live drum duty on four selections. There are two vocal tracks notably Spencer Day singing “You’re The One For Me”. We also enjoyed the fleeting “Wes Side Story”. A couple of Latin-tinged selections add depth to a well-balanced set giving Aaron a winner.
