O’s Notes: Bassist Bill Moring assembles a fine band with Jack Walrath (t), Tim Armacost (sax), Steve Allee (p) and Steve Johns (d). Each of them contributes originals to the program along with a fine cover of Ornette Coleman’s “The Disguise”. The songs range from the bouncy beats of “Sweat” to the soulfully sweet “Deep Blue” and Armacost’s cool “Mary Lynn”. They wrap the set with two of Moring’s contributions, “Ihop” and the title track leaving us feeling fully satisfied.
