O’s Notes: Slide Hampton is one of the best in the business and he teams up with a dozen other first class trombonists and a tight rhythm section. The harmonizing is as good as it gets! They play eleven songs including “April In Paris”, “Dolphin Dance” and “Walkin’ In Rhythm”. The performance is vibrant! It was recorded live at Pittsburgh’s Manchester Craftsman’s Guild, a place where more and more great jazz is emanating from!
