O’s Notes: Drummer Ali Jackson, bassist Omer Avital, and pianist Aaron Goldberg are The Yes! Trio. Spring Sings is an engaging encounter. Avital uses the bow and solid finger work to enhance the opening title track, setting the stage for a set that has great ‘feel’. Goldberg leads the swinging “2K Blues”, and Jackson trades blows with the band on “The Best Is Yet To Come”. We also enjoyed “Omeration” and “Fivin’”.
