O’s Notes: We looked at the roster of musicians and knew we were in for a treat. Paul (g) is joined by Abraham Laboriel (b), Patrice Rushen, Jeff Lorber & Brian Culbertson on keyboards, Billy Preston (B3), Gerald Albright (sax), Shiela E (percussion), drummer Harvey Mason and several others. The music is jazzy cool R&B that will appeal to old school and contemporary jazz fans equally. It’s here just in time to sooth the sizzling summer heat.
