O’s Notes: Jason and his string quartet return with another dose of free improvisation. They step it up a notch with Edge creating an engaging landscape. The songs have a solid structure allowing the musicians to explore freely while remaining in the same chapter. We liked “Third Sight” and its many passages. They tell stories with these songs drawing the listener into their space. They will bring more appreciation to avant-garde with this effort.
