O’s Notes: Japanese guitarist Tak Matsumoto produces Strings Of My Soul, mostly original composition with freshly arranged covers of classic tunes. The program is a blend of contemporary jazz instrumentals, light vocals and electric blues. We liked “Live Life”, “Blue” and “sasanqua ~ Winter Sun” both showcasing Matsumoto carving his way through the melodies with liquid electric leads.
