O’s Notes: Summer Rain is a set of 13 funky, R&B-laced smooth jazz grooves featuring the seductive sax of Jeanette Harris. She composed or collaborated on eleven of the selections and produced the entire album. There are an abundance of catchy riffs that make the session pop. It is all instrumental except for “Thankful” and a bonus version of the title track featuring vocalist Joel Bowers.
