O’s Notes: Down to the Bone is back again with eleven new smooth, funk laced tunes for the contemporary jazz crowd. “Parkside Shuffle” has a retro groove that is contagious. Hil Sr. Soul ads vocals on “Smile to Shine” as does Corrina Greyson on “Shake It Up” and Roy Ayers puts his vibe into “Electric Vibes” one of the standout tracks. “Greedy Fingers” has a James Brown-type funky groove along with the party ready “Make It Funky”. The D. C. Horns provide punctuation and the funk flows freely on Supercharged.
