O’s Notes: Marie Daulne is the writer leading Zap Mama with a Euro club feeling. These Belgians gives us an interesting program. There is a club reggae beat on “Hey Brotha” followed by the folk pop groove of the title track. We enjoyed the exotic, funky beats of “Go Boy” and even funkier groove of “Toma Taboo”. The eleven songs follow that pattern all the way through. Zap Mama touches funk, rap, hip-hop, pop and soul.
