O’s Notes: It didn’t take long for us to engage on this one starting with the opener “You’ve Got It Bad Girl”. They followed up with “Sweet Drive”, an up-tempo tune with a popping beat. So we cracked the liner notes to find that guitarist Les Sabler has enlisted support from a fine band including Jeff Lorber (keyboards), Brian Bromberg (b), Alex Acuna (perc) and Ricky Peterson (B3). It’s hard to miss with that crew and they don’t. Toni Scruggs and Richard Jackson sing “Daydreaming” and “Can You Stop The Rain” to break up the string of instrumentals. This one has the right combination of cool, mellow and relaxing tunes that make for enjoyable listening time after time!
