O’s Notes: Sweet Talk is a collection of eleven smooth, funky and R&B jazz tunes featuring Eric’s warm sax (alto and soprano) tones. The set includes upbeat songs like “Uptown” with a club beat and tight bass line the funky “Secrets” and a cool remake of “Tell Me Something Good” featuring Cassandra Reed (v). You can feel the presence of hit maker Jeff Lorber sprinkled throughout the session. Ivan Lins also adds vocals on “Caprochosa”. There is nice range on a relaxing set.
