O’s Notes: Bassist, composer and producer Bruno Råberg leads a trio with pianist Bruce Barth and drummer Adam Cruz. They open swinging hard on “Message XII” before settling down with the peaceful ballad “A Closer Look” featuring Barth. They continue alternating tempo over ten selections, all originals except a fresh take of Jimmy Van Heusen’s “Here’s That Rainy Day”. “Le Candice I” is the bonus closing track that caps a satisfying session making“Tailwind“a worthy engagement.
