O’s Notes: Jazz is alive in Knoxville, TN and pianist Margherita Fava is one of the catalysts. She leads a talented quartet that includes Greg Tardy playing tenor sax and flute for her debut, Tatatu. The program is gentle, approachable, modern jazz with a Latin flair. Six of the eight selections are Fava originals. “Restless Mind”, “Rhythm-a-Ning”, “All the Things You Are” and “Tidal Waves” are highlights.
