O’s Notes: Smooth jazz saxophonist Paul Taylor plants a seed this spring with Tenacity, 19 years after his first release as a leader. Dino Esposito produced all of the songs owing to the continuity of this project. There is a balanced mix of slow and fast tunes though Taylor shines brighter on the ballads where he breathes romance into the tunes. The exception is “Spur Of The Moment”, the best of the lot along with the title track.
