O’s Notes: The Apostolic Session features the late vocalist Judy Stuart with conductor & music director Steve Tintweiss (vocals), Marc Levin (cornet, valve trombone), Calo Scott (cello), Tom Moore (fl), Burton Greene (p), Paul Nash (g), Monty Renov (b) and Shelly Rusten (d). Stuart passed in 2018 leaving a legacy of edgy, 1960s jazz-rock recordings that were unreleased until this well-packaged, 2-song ,45 rpm vinyl album! “Nickel Bag of Tears” and “Inspiration” are of sign of the 60’s. It is certainly eclectic in today’s mainstream but serves as a good reflective point. It is best characterized by one of her projected internet projects in the late 80s: LOLSOS – Lustrous Obscure Lady Sings Original Songs.
