O’s Notes: This is a free form duet featuring trumpeter Wadada Leo Smith and free jazz drummer Ed Blackwell. It is a live performance from 1986 at Brandeis University. The original work was finally released late in 2010. It is a unique vibe that includes blues poetry, a multitude of intricate beats and genuine soul. Smith brings a taste of the past into the present and it remains fresh.
