O’s Notes: Hiroshima has carved a space on the contemporary jazz scene using deep bass and funky percussion along with the tabla and Koto. Their signature sound has remained popular over many years. On The Bridge, they combine nine new originals with a couple of cool covers, The Isley’s “Caravan of Love” and “I Just Wanna Hang Around You”. Both feature Terry Steele’s warm R&B vocals to add yet another dimension. The music has a familiar yet fresh sound that clicks.
