O’s Notes: The Elements of Jazz are a contemporary jazz band featuring guitarist Brandon Janvion, Yohan (sax), Bennett Davis (d) and bassist Jerry Nelson. Nelson wrote all of the music with help from Janvion on “In Flight”. “Take Off” and ” Last Days” have funky beats that encourage foot tapping head bobbing and all of that! We also enjoyed the mid-tempo grooves of “Arisen” and the calypso vibe on “Release” making this a solid CD.
