O’s Notes: Bassist Jake Leckie leads a band with guitarist Nadav Peled and drummer Elizabeth Goodfellow on The Guide. It is Leckie’s second album as a leader but he’s a polished and proven musician. He corrals the trio of different backgrounds into a unified front. The music is mellow and relaxing with a dash of country twang. Jake leads many of the melodies over eight selections highlighted by “The Gatekeeper”, “Patience” and “Adobe”.
