O’s Notes: Trombonist Conrad Herwig had the good fortune to perform with the late, great jazz saxophonist and composer Joe Henderson. This dedication captures The Latin Side of Joe Henderson with six of his most popular tunes notably “Recorda Me” and “Blue Bossa”. On July 28-29, 2012 in NYC it was hot outside and there was heat inside of the Blue Note as well as Herwig took the stage! Joe Lovano (sax), Ruben Rodriguez (b) and Richie Flores (perc) are among the starring musicians who joined him to make this live recording cook.
