O’s Notes: Drummer, percussionist, composer, and producer Robert Jospé presents his latest release The Night Sky with his quartet including co-producer Daniel Clarke (keyboards), Chris Whiteman (g), and Paul Langosch (b). The music is pleasant, and perhaps Jospe’s best to date! They are festive on “Samba Sun”, warm on “Desert Dream”, and get funky on “Flashback”. We also enjoyed “The Golden Hour” and the steel pans of “Silver Lining” closing the session.
