O’s Notes: This is an unusual combination featuring salsa, meringue, bolero and cha cha music with melodies coming from Susie’s electric violin. She is backed by a superb orchestra and gives the members a chance to shine. Steve Marsh (flute, sax), Justo Almario (sax) and David Stout (tb) are notable. Ruben Esteva adds vocals on a couple of tracks as well. It is stated well in the liner notes: “irresistible dance music packed solid with jazz”!
