O’s Notes: Bassist and composer Tomba has assembled a strong, primarily German team with guitarist Jan Zehrfeld, Evan Tate on sax, keyboardist Hansi Enzensperger, trumpeter Bastien Rieser and Tommy Eberhardt on drums. There’s an infectious funky beat underneath the serious spoken word from American rapper, Kokayi . He talks about the current plight of America and keeps it real. “The Senate” is a strong single (and a radio edit). We’re looking forward to the full album.
