O’s Notes: Vibraphonist/pianist Terry Gibbs is now 98 years old and still cooking, recording now for eight decades! His Legacy Band is already celebrating his great work with The Terry Gibbs Songbook. Rich vocals come from vocalist Danny Bacher, complimented by saxophonists Scott Hamilton, Harry Allen, and Tom Rainer (also piano). Mike Gurrola (b) and Gerry Gibbs (d) anchor the rhythm section. They swing on “Nina”, “Lonely Days”, and “Those Eyes, Those Lips, That Nose, That Face, That Girl”. There are 72 minutes of fresh arrangements and Terry adds 2-finger piano on “Now’s The Times To Groove” in what may be his last recording!
