O’s Notes: The trio is Ron Eschete (g), Dave Carpenter (b) and leader Mort Weiss on clarinet. Check out “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” where Mort’s sound is very rich and soothing. The band also bounces along quite merrily on tunes like “Groovin’ High” where Ron plays very nice chord melodies while Dave walks his bass. The sound is uncluttered and sweet through nine tracks. We kept this one in the rotation for a while!
