O’s Notes: Pianist, composer, and producer Dave Bass re-assembles his band with bassist Kerry Kashiwagi and drummer Scott Gordon for The Trio, Vol. 3. They open with “As Long As There’s Music”, an inspirational piece followed by the spirited “Criss Cross” and “Israel”. There is a taste of fusion on “Angebite of Inwit” with a lively guitar solo from special guest Barry Finerty that is buffered by ballads like “With A Song In My Heart”.
