O’s Notes: Saxophonist Jerry Weldon has developed a strong reputation being a part of groups with the Hammond B3 and“Those Were The Days“is yet another. Kyle Koehler plays the B3 with drummer Colby Inzer and Daniel Sadownick on percussion. Weldon plays fresh arrangements of nine classics including some lesser worked tunes like “Sunny V” to make this a memorable set. They open cooking on “Love Won’t Let Me Wait” and maintain a cool grove. We also enjoyed “Walk On By”, “The Sermon”, “Where Is The Love” and the title track.
