O’s Notes: Composer, pianist Satoko Fujii joins forces with Joe Fonda (b, cello, fl) in their fourth recording as a duo. It is yet another pandemic album recorded separately in their homes in Kobe and New York. The spontaneous interaction is a tad subdued in this arrangement. There is a lot of reflective space that leads to provocative thinking and perhaps a Thread of Light in a dark period that is hopefully behind us.
