O’s Notes: Trumpeter Brad Goode leads his dream band through a program mixes with originals and freshly arranged standards. His counterparts are Adrean Farrugia (p), Kelly Sill (b) and Anthony Lee (d). There is a smooth swing that flows through all of these tunes especially “Nightingale” and “Reaching For The Moon” with an excellent bass solo on the latter. Brad’s tone is buttery smooth on “The River”, one of several warm mid tempo tracks. They wrap up with a soothing cover of “Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise”, underscoring the true essence of the set!
