O’s Notes: Legendary singer, guitarist, composer Taj Mahal leads The Phantom Blues Band for his 2026 release, Time. His long-time band includes Tony Braunagel (d), Larry Fulcher (b) Johnny Lee Schell (g), with guests Jon Cleary (p), & Mick Weaver (organ). The title track is a previously unreleased song written by the late Bill Withers and Taj does it justice. We liked Bob Marley’s “Talkin’ Blues” with vocals by Ziggy Marley, “Sweet Lorene”, “It’s Your Voodoo Working”, and “Crazy About A Jukebox”.
