O’s Notes: Trumpeter John Bailey presents his third album as a leader with Time Bandits. He assembles a quartet with George Cables (p), Scott Colley (b) and Victor Lewis (d). The set includes five Bailey originals and one each from Lewis and Cables along with three covers. They swing on “Long Ago And Far Away” with a nice solo from Cooley, and on “Oh Man, Please Get Me Out Of Here!”. We also enjoyed “Groove Samba” in the ten selections.
