O’s Notes: Toninho plays guitar, Tom plays piano and both of them sing on Tonight. The sounds are light and refreshing. The 14 songs are an excellent selection of standards from the masters including Jobim, Porter, Gershwin, Arlen and Berlin. There are also a few originals. “Dindi” and “My Romance” are among the best. The presentation is clean and puts the listener at ease, under a large shade tree with a gentle breeze coming in off of the lake. The only thing missing is a large glass of lemonade of perhaps a caipirinha!
