O’s Notes: With Lonnie manning the Hammond and two guitarists Rodney Jones and Peter Bernstein forming the core, this one has great potential! Drum duty is split between Greg Hutchingson and Furushi Tanaka. The momentum builds nicely through the session and by the time we get to the 3rd song, “Back Track”, an infectious funky cut, we are sold on the CD. They even sound good when they slow down on “Silver Serenade”. It’s tough to go wrong on this one. Potential realized!
