O’s Notes: Siora is Dan Kleiman (p), Phyllis Chapell (vocals), Steve Beskrone (b), Jimmy Coleman (d) and Rafael Cruz (percussion). They are joined by several guest artists on Vis-a-Vis, an effort to transcend boundaries with the power of music. Chapell is central to this effort singing in 7 different languages to get the message across. This is not an evangelistic work but more of the Brazilian samba potion that tends to invite relaxation and tranquility. It surfaces strongly in “Dana da Solidão” which speaks of dancing away loneliness and dissipating bitterness with a taste of pure water. This may not be the solution for world peace but it certainly will help keep you feeling good.
