O’s Notes: This is an extension of volume one with a lot more of a jump blues groove. The brass is top notch featuring some of Canada’s best musicians. This set is all instrumentals led by producer, composer and arranger Bill King (p). Our favorite is “Room 13 Blues” featuring guitarist Neil Chapman and King. It’s always tough to follow up on a super successful volume one but these guys come close, extending their repertoire on Volume II.
