O’s Notes: This one is an introspective look at 1970s Black America. The music, the riots, the political drama, Afros, laughing off the pain and a lot of good music. Some of the styles are laughable now but were too cool then. Isaac Hayes, The Bar-Kays, Rufus Thomas and Albert King are among the many stars on hand along with Reverend Jessie Jackson. Caution: Richard Pryor is also on hand complete with the vulgar humor that made him a star.
