O’s Notes: Meir is a guitarist, composer and arranger who compiled his work over the last three years for Way. The theme (and songs) changes with his adventures. The program combines contemporary Indian popular/folk music with funky world jazz. We liked the mellow “Blue”, “Noise” and our favorite “Playing Around”. Yonatan Rubin does a fine job breathing sax melodies into several songs notably “Down Town”. It is a solid effort covering a lot of ground.
