O’s Notes: Many artists have interpreted the music from“popular musicals but drummer/musical director Bobby Sanabria’s“West Side Story Reimagined“is a true transformation. He uses an energetic, dynamic big band for this set that was recorded live at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola November 19, 2017. The audience is engaged and responsive to Sanabria’s narration between songs. The song intros illustrate the music and help the audience recreate the classic Broadway masterpiece. There are two discs, almost 80 minutes of entertainment and well-documented liner notes making this a complete and entertaining package.
