O’s Notes: Jamie plays guitar, produced and composed all ten tunes on When I Get Home. Dan Willis (sax), Peck Allmond (sax, t, euphonium), Kenny Werner (p), Michael Sarin (d) and Stephan Crump (b) form a strong unit behind Fox. They open with “Five One & A Half”, a warm mellow tune featuring rich brass tones. They then migrate into more soft fusion with combined guitar and sax melodies. There’s a slight bit of bossa nova on “Leisure” and Jamie is cookin’ on “New News” capping a cool fusion set.
