O’s Notes: Guitarist Duke Robillard plays a jazzy blues set with Mark Teixeira (d) and Brad Hallen (b). He has forever been a student of the golden oldies of the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s and he manages to continuously resurrect these tunes by adding his own style. Duke’s playing is well articulated and packed with emotions. This set is much more than a bunch of covers. It including a few Robillard originals notably the title track and features guest vocalist Mickey Freeman on “Gee Baby, Ain’t I Good To You”. That leads to an enjoyable experience today or many years coming.
