O’s Notes: Chicago-based artists Chris Forman (B3), Bobby Broom (g) and Greg Rockingham (d) form the Deep Blue Organ Trio. You can see them performing live in Chicago weekly. There latest release is a dedication to the music of Stevie Wonder including the classics “Jesus Children of America” and “You Haven’t Done Nothin'”. Broom and Forman handle the melodies in unique blues instrumental arrangements. The pace is relaxed but the warmth and passion are there in Chicago blues fashion notably on “As” and “You’ve Got It Bad Girl”.
