O’s Notes: Duke sings and plays guitar for his brand of New Orleans style blues. He’s true to form if you dig the blues. Robillard correctly states that the blues are the foundation for most of today’s music. He is correct but a lot of the current radio waves miss the story-tellin’ lyrics present here. Duke fills two CDs with 115 minutes of true blues. It includes his inspirations and interpretation of many classics. Our favorites: “Six Inch Heels” and “Look Out” a couple of his own tunes from the 1970s. Duke plays many of his classic big box guitars to support his World Full of Blues supported by great liner notes.
